Panthers QB Derek Anderson Calls Play for New Pad in Scottsdale
If you’re an NFL quarterback, it’s natural to go through progressions on the field. So it’s no surprise that Carolina Panthers QB Derek Anderson is doing that with his real estate portfolio.
After buying a $2.8 million home in Scottsdale, AZ, to kick off the new year, Anderson has placed another home in the same city on the market. Located about four miles away from his new place, his former home has a $1.05 million price tag.
The 3,284-square-foot property he’s selling is also considerably smaller than his new 5,912-square-foot home, which also has three more bedrooms and four more bathrooms.
The home for sale is a single-level contemporary, which was recently remodeled with luxury finishes, including French oak wood floors, a new kitchen, a new audiovisual system, and a heated pool and spa. There’s also a customized bar and entertainment center.
In the den area, there’s plenty of space for an office. The office, along with a large hall closet, can be converted into bedrooms, according to the listing.
The luxury home Anderson purchased in January sits in a cul-de-sac and offers mountain and city views. It has six bedrooms and seven bathrooms. The backyard comes with a jungle gym, a pool with swim-up bar and spa, and a cabana. There’s also a built-in barbecue.
Anderson’s NFL career dates to 2005, with his best season being 2007 when he was the Cleveland Browns field general and tossed 29 touchdown passes.
He spent a single season with the Arizona Cardinals before landing with the Panthers as Cam Newton‘s backup, but his love for the desert enticed him enough to settle down in Scottsdale.
