Red Sox All-Star Mookie Betts Selling Modest Townhouse in Nashville
In the midst of a breakout season, Boston Red Sox All-Star Mookie Betts is offloading his townhouse in Nashville, TN, for $305,900.
Perhaps the Nashville native is moving on to bigger and better things in Music City? He’ll likely be able to afford it.
All sabermetrics point to Betts having a promising future in Major League Baseball. Now in the middle of his second full season in Boston, he’s been setting the table all season long in the leadoff spot for the league’s best offense. Based on his potent blend of slugging and speed, the team would be wise to lock down the 23-year-old star with a long-term contract.
As for what he’s leaving behind, his four-bedroom, 2,451-square-foot, two-story townhouse is located in the Highland neighborhood of Nashville. The home has hardwood flooring, 3.5 bathrooms, and a second-story deck. Betts also seems to have left behind (or just hasn’t picked up yet) a few items, including some cushy chairs and a pop-a-shot hoop in a game and media room.
Records indicate Betts bought the home in December 2014 for $249,000, about six months after he made his MLB debut.
