Reince Priebus Buys New Home in George Washington’s Old Neighborhood
White House chief of staff Reince Priebus and his wife, Sally, paid $1.25 million for a large house away from the hubbub of Washington, DC. The couple closed the deal on the Alexandria, VA, home in January, according to the Washington Business Journal.
The five-bedroom, 5.5-bath home is near George Washington’s historic home, Mount Vernon, and about a 30-minute drive (minus traffic) to the White House.
The house, built just last year, sits on three-quarters of an acre and includes an upgraded chef’s kitchen and a finished basement with nanny suite. The latter is ideal for the couple, who have two young children.
The home also includes a home office, living room with a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace, and dining room with chair and crown molding.
The median list price in the 22306 ZIP code is currently $425,000, and Priebus bought the area’s priciest property in 2017 thus far.
Priebus, the former chairman of the Republican National Committee, is a native of Kenosha, WI, and former chairman of the Wisconsin Republican Party.
