San Diego Chargers’ Antonio Gates Lists Renovated Hollywood Home
After having two babies in two years, San Diego Charger Antonio Gates and his wife, Sasha, have outgrown their four-story, Hollywood hillside home and have put it on the market for $2,999,000. Before they put up the “For Sale” sign, the couple completely renovated the five-bedroom, 4.5 bathroom house.
Sasha renovated the 4,428-square-foot home from top to bottom, with the help of Urban Interior Designs and Landscapes. She was also busy caring for her two children—2-year-old Ayla and 7-month-old Aven—and starring on the reality TV show “WAGS” on E!.
The Gates’ beautiful home was featured on a number of episodes of the show. But as lovely as the home is, two babies, a pool, and multiple staircases don’t mix.
So, they’re selling the home they purchased in 2014 for $1,660,000. The remodel includes white oak hardwood floors throughout, custom window treatments, and a striking aqua glass front fireplace. The kitchen is also new—it features stainless-steel appliances and a wine cooler. In addition, Sasha freshened up the master suite, which occupies the entire fourth floor and has its own balcony. And last but not least, they added a pool and spa out back.
While they wait for offers on their Hollywood home, the growing family will chill in their San Diego–area residence, which is more convenient during the season. They might buy another L.A.-area home if the Chargers relocate to Los Angeles or if E! orders a third season of “WAGS.”
Antonio, a star tight end and an eight-time Pro Bowler, has played for the Chargers since 2003, when he began his football career. The future Hall of Famer was a basketball star at Kent State and didn’t play a down of college football.
Although Sasha has finished the renovation and “WAGS” has wrapped up filming, she isn’t sitting still. She’s working on the release of her debut R&B album and volunteering with her favorite charity, The Dolling Foundation, which provides high-quality wigs to women surviving hair loss due to illness.
