Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is selling a lavish suburban estate outside Pittsburgh for $2,295,000. The family home in Hampton, PA, is empty at the moment, which might be why he was motivated to knock more than $400,000 off the asking price in June.

More than a house, it is “the ultimate entertaining complex,” the listing notes. The veteran QB purchased the 5-acre property in 2006 for $2,220,000. Since then, his life has changed: He got married in 2011 and now has three children. He and his family have reportedly moved into a new home they built elsewhere in the area.

So they’re ready to move on from this eight-bedroom, seven-plus-bathroom home, despite it being loaded with all sorts of amenities for fun and relaxation.

There’s a separate building for recreational vehicles, a dedicated playroom, and a two-story kitchen with children’s library above. But the home’s most luxurious amenity is the state-of-the-art golf simulator for when Pennsylvania weather makes hitting the links prohibitive.

When the weather’s warm, there’s plenty to keep everyone busy outdoors. There’s a pool with swim-up bar, outdoor kitchen, basketball court, koi pond, and fire pit. The property is gated and ringed with security.

While his home is on the market, Roethlisberger is prepping for the 2019 season, telling the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette he’s feeling better than he has in a while on the field.

“I feel like I love football again,” Roethlisberger said. “I don’t know if I can put my finger on a particular reason, but it just feels that way.”

Drafted in the first round by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2004, Roethlisberger has won two Super Bowls during his time in the Steel City.
