After six years and a $2.5 million renovation, rock star Brandon Flowers of The Killers is reluctantly parting with his luxe home in Las Vegas. The singer recently put the pedigreed place on the market for $4.95 million.

The estate’s former residents include casino magnate Howard Hughes, who built the home in 1961; former Las Vegas Mayor Jan Jones and her former husband Fletcher Jones, of the Mercedes-Benz dealership empire; and tennis pros Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf.

“It is magnificent,” says listing agent Zar Zanganeh. “I’ve sold a couple thousand houses in my career, and this is one of my absolute favorites.” The agent was involved in leasing homes to music legends Michael Jackson and Prince in the same neighborhood, which he says is the best in Las Vegas.

With its tree-lined streets and variety of architectural styles, the neighborhood “feels more like the flats of Beverly Hills than Las Vegas,” Zanganeh says. The area is so coveted homes rarely come on the market, though he managed to snap one up for himself several years ago. The neighborhood is three minutes from downtown and five minutes from the Strip.

The estate is especially prized for a number of reasons, including a private well that keeps the landscape an oasis of green in this desert climate, a two-story guesthouse, and a music room. The latter holds a piano that was a gift from Sir Elton John (it’s not included in the price).

The 8,299-square-foot, Spanish–style compound has six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, and 2 half-baths. The main residence includes a fitness studio, an updated open kitchen, and a staircase imported from Belgium.

Out back there’s a pool, kitchen, and expansive lawn.

Zanganeh says the family—Flowers, wife Tanya, and sons Ammon, Gunnar, and Henry—could have happily stayed there for years if they weren’t moving out of state. The agent wasn’t able to comment on where the Flowers bunch is headed next.

Lush landscaping, lawns and the trampoline indicate that this has an ideal family home.

Flowers has been keeping a low profile over the past year. The lead singer, keyboardist, and occasional bass guitarist of the Killers released two solo albums, “Flamingo” (2010) and “The Desired Effect” (2015), sparking rumors of The Killers breaking up.

However, the frontman says he was on hiatus from the group. The Killers have a few upcoming gigs in the U.S. before crossing the pond for a summer tour of Europe.
