‘The View’ Co-Host Joy Behar Sells Her Upper West Side Co-op for $3.27M
‘The View’ Co-Host Joy Behar Sells Her Upper West Side Co-op for .27M
Joy Behar has a joyful feeling thanks to the sale of her Manhattan co-op for $3.27 million, the Real Deal reported. While that is a chunk less than the $3.5 million “The View” co-host was seeking in November, it’s still a hefty profit. She had bought the Upper West Side property in 2008 for $2.55 million, according to property records.
The Astor Court co-op has three bedrooms and three baths, and has been tastefully updated. One of the selling points of this particular unit is privacy—it takes up an entire wing of the building, according to the listing.
Beyond the dramatic marble entry, the great room features living and dining spaces, a wood-burning fireplace, and views to the private garden. The open kitchen is equipped with a Wolf double range, wine cooler, and warming drawer.
The en suite master bedroom includes a walk-in closet and features a built-in sound system.
Amenities of the 1915 building include an English garden, roof terrace, and playroom.
The 75-year-old talk show host has been on a real estate bender. In November she decamped to a more contemporary condo for $2.4 million. The lovely locale is also on the Upper West Side, and nearby the ABC studio where she tapes her show.
She also traded up in the Hamptons, picking up a getaway in Sag Harbor, NY, for $4.75 million in 2016. The home includes Brooklyn-themed artwork and a “woman cave.” She also sold her East Hampton home for $3.2 million.
Behar is an original cast member of “The View.” She recently penned a critique of the current president, “The Great Gasbag: An A-Z Study Guide to Surviving Trump World.“
