This Week’s Most Popular Home Is a Vibrant Victorian Stunner

Stop what you’re doing right now, and look at the interior photos of this week’s most popular home on realtor.com®. We’ll wait. Of the 36 total photos, Nos. 11, 14, and 22 are pretty darn awesome, but the real showstopper is No. 19. We’ve stared at it for a good 15 minutes and are still uncovering new details.

We can’t promise the deluge of decor will come with the $1.2 million asking price for the historic Pennsylvania mansion, but it’s worth negotiating. Really, where else will you find just the right crystal lamp for your bedside table?

Outside of the vividly decorated Victorian in the top spot, you, dear users, clicked quite frequently on a very ’80s house in Illinois and a fully renovated (but not as decorated) Victorian in Oklahoma. We also noticed a distinct Lone Star trend—four of this week’s top 10 homes are from Texas.

In other words, don’t mess with this week’s most popular homes.

Price: $250,000
Why it’s here: Just north of Dallas, this cute brick four-bedroom home is only 10 years old. Offering plenty of curb appeal and priced below the city’s median listing price, it’s attracting plenty of interest in its first week on the market.

Price: $365,000
Why it’s here: Break out the beads—it’s your chance to live in a townhouse close to Audubon Park! Carved out of a 100-year-old house, the two-bedroom unit offers vintage charm along with clean modern lines.

8. 510 Ridge Trace, San Antonio, TX

Price: $610,000
Why it’s here: Listing agent Erin Pierce cited the home’s photos, staging, and price as the reasons for its popularity. “You have a gorgeous home, well-staged and well-photographed, that debuted this week. With presentation like this, in San Antonio’s hot market, it’s getting a lot of interest,” said Pierce.

Price: $685,000
Why it’s here: Listing agent Mendy Clark told us she created a social media campaign to sell this house. “Any home on over an acre in this school district will pop,” she said. Also, the “homey feel” of the house is a highlight, and a buyer will get a home with a rural feel that’s still in the city. For those interested in farm life, Clark said the new owner can keep chickens, goats, and horses on the property—which comes with a barn.

Why it’s here: It’s the home of legendary college basketball coach Pat Summitt. The longtime Tennessee Volunteers coach died just over a month ago, and her four-bedroom waterfront home just hit the market.

Why it’s here: Over 200 years old, this beautiful brick home offers serious history spread over its 21 acres. Located along a stop on the Underground Railroad, the property “has been renovated to bring back the original charm of the home.”

Price: $665,000
Why it’s here: It’s relatively simple. Listing agent Laura Robertson said this handsome five-bedroom home is “one of the most affordable homes in a guarded, gated community.” Surrounded by million-dollar listings, the home’s modest price makes it a true standout.

Why it’s here: This stately Victorian home in what was once known as the city’s Silk Stocking District has been beautifully restored, according to listing agent Donna Elliott. She told us that more than $100,000 was spent on restoring this “eye-catching” home. And with an asking price under $200,000, she expects a quick sale.

Why it’s here: Listing agent Ellen Williams told us this enormous modern estate has been occupied by the original owner since it was built in 1983. Each room in the house has a distinctive design, and a swooping, curving staircase is a highlight along with the indoor pool. Williams knows the home won’t appeal to every buyer, but “someone interested in modern architecture” would be an ideal match for this one-of-a-kind house.

Why it’s here: Built by architect John A. Dempwolf in the 1880s, this imposing Victorian in the town center has been fully reconstructed. Its eight bedrooms, two parlors, and beauty salon (!!) are packed with period details. Located in the town center, it’s a palace worthy of a Pennsylvanian king.
