Vikings’ Trae Waynes Lands a Luxury Lakefront Home in Minnesota
Fresh off the finish of his second season with the Minnesota Vikings, star cornerback Trae Waynes scored a gorgeous lakefront mansion just outside the Twin Cities. The home is located in affluent Minnetrista, MN, along Lake Minnetonka, one of the community’s six lakes.
Built in 2014, the home went on the market in August 2016 for $1.7 million. The 24-year-old defensive back closed on the home for $1.64 million on Dec. 27, according to the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal.
With a chef’s kitchen, enormous wet bar, and lake views in every room, this home with five bedrooms and eight baths is the ultimate chillaxing pad for a pro athlete.
Located about 25 miles west of the new U.S. Bank Stadium, home to the Vikings, his home is in a community popular with boaters, hikers, and bicyclists. The 2015 first-round pick will have his own slice of beach, thanks to 100 feet of private shoreline. The walkout lower level is ideal for entertaining with a wine cellar, wet bar, and space for a media or game room.
Soaking tubs and long vanities are hallmarks in the full baths, and the great room’s vaulted ceiling and wall of windows offer plenty of natural light and lake views.
In 2016, Waynes snagged three interceptions for the Vikes. He signed a four-year, $12.9 million contract after the Vikings selected him with the 11th pick in the 2015 NFL draft.
