After inserting him into an NFL game for the first time in nearly two seasons, the Indianapolis Colts released well-traveled quarterback Josh Freeman earlier this year.
Freeman has become familiar with switching teams—he’s worn a number of jerseys since a promising start to his pro career in 2009 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Now that’s he’s back on the market, it’s still unclear where the mysterious signal-caller will end up. We can say with virtual certainty he won’t be reuniting with the Bucs this season. As a result, the passer is handing off his Tampa home.
On the market for $2.19 million, the six-bedroom, three-story home offers impressive Mediterranean-style curb appeal with a raised first floor, plenty of private terraces, and a clay roof.
The sweeping spiral staircase, oversize double doors, and columns in the foyer are just the start of the architectural details in the home. Many rooms have a tray ceiling, oversize windows, and fireplaces. There are even ornate Venetian-style columns in the master bathroom.
Of course, this is a baller’s house—so there’s also plenty of entertainment options, including a media room, game room, outdoor kitchen, heated pool, and an elevator.
In 2014, rumors of foreclosure proceedings on the home made the rounds. The QB purchased the place for a little over $1 million in 2010.
As for Freeman, analysts think he’ll be in training camp with a team this summer.
