Tennessee Titans’ Head Coach Mike Vrabel Puts Down Roots in Nashville

Newly hired Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel is settling into his new job and new city, where he just bought a brand-new 6,100-square-foot mansion in the upscale Nashville, TN, suburb of Forest Hills.

Vrabel, 42, was hired away from the Houston Texans in January and is entering his first season as an NFL head coach, having replaced Mike Mularkey.

He’ll do it in style in his six-bedroom, nine-bath home, located on 2 wooded acres. Built last year, the Tudor Revival–style mansion has more than enough room for the young family of four.

Listing photos of the house under construction show high-end finishes throughout, with “Fixer Upper“-esque flourishes, including a shiplap wall in the formal dining room, and modern farmhouse elements elsewhere.

The kitchen has a center island with a quartz top and waterfall edge. There are brass light fixtures, Shaker-style cabinets with glass doors, and a farmhouse sink.

The kitchen flows into the living room, which has a fireplace flanked by built-in bookcases, and french doors that open to a covered patio and outdoor fireplace. Elsewhere, there’s a finished basement and built-in audio system.

“They found a perfect place in Nashville,” their agent, Katie Herndon, told the Nashville Business Journal. “They were wonderful to work with.”

Vrabel is also on the brink of an off-season win—his former home in Texas is now pending sale after going on the market in early February for $2 million.

He played as a linebacker in the NFL from 1997 to 2010, largely with the New England Patriots, with whom he won three Super Bowl victories, in 2002, 2004, and 2005.

He’s widely regarded as one of the NFL’s most versatile players of his era, racking up impressive defensive stats while also making 10 career touchdowns.

After retiring in 2011, he immediately jumped into coaching, returning to his alma mater, Ohio State University, to serve as the school’s linebackers coach. Three years later, he joined the Houston Texans as their defensive coordinator.
